新垣智子が手がける国内ブランド。生産体制に疑問を持ち、一度ブランドを休止し、その間大阪の縫製工場に就職。その工場は後継者不足のため廃業を予定していたが、彼女が工場、職人ごと事業を継承、デザイナーの傍ら縫製工場社長という顔も持つ。

kleidenのコレクションは、カットソー生地以外は全て自社工場に制作れている。

ブランド名はドイツ語。和訳は衣服を着せる。ミニマルな中にモードな雰囲気が漂う服には、ドイツへの執心が伺える。

<Brand Description> kleiden

Tomoko Shingaki is the designer behind the domestic brand “kleiden.” After questioning the production
system of her brand, she decided to take a break and
worked at a sewing factory in Osaka. This factory,
which was on the verge of closing due to a lack of
successors, ended up being taken over by Arakaki.
Not only did she inherit the factory, but she also took on the role of president while continuing her career
as a designer.

In her kleiden collections, all items, except for those made from cut-and-sew fabrics, are produced
in-house at her factory.
